Calidad del agua de consumo, subproductos de desinfección y riesgo de cáncer digestivo en Boyacá

El acceso al agua es un derecho humano, y tenemos la responsabilidad de preservarla y no contaminarla. La ingeniería moderna ha mejorado la calidad del agua para consumo humano, pero persisten factores ecosistémicos imperceptibles que pueden ser potencialmente dañinos que la contaminan, procedentes de las prácticas agrícolas, mineras e industriales, incluyendo también procesos de desinfección con químicos, que producen subproductos de riesgo para la salud en general y, particularmente, causantes de cáncer. Se aborda el tema del riesgo de cáncer digestivo con relación a la calidad del agua en Boyacá del proyecto de investigación Análisis de riesgo por exposición de la población boyacense a subproductos de desinfección presentes en el agua potable y la fracción atribuible al cáncer, financiado por Minciencias, Convocatoria 896.
