La fundamentación teórica en gerencia de proyectos ha tratado de unificar temáticas y requerimientos vinculados a la estandarización de procesos, gestión de interesados, evaluación de requisitos y rendimientos sobre productos o servicios concordantes al cumplimiento de objetivos estratégicos en las organizaciones; con especial intención en la generación, identificación y control de proyectos complejos constituidos por una variedad de tamaños, contextos e interrelaciones que crean un impredecible dinamismo, riesgos e incertidumbres. Por lo anterior, el libro “Gerencia de Proyectos Complejos” se concibe como el resultado de una compilación exhaustiva e innovadora de investigaciones relacionadas con la evaluación de diferentes visiones y nociones sobre los retos y avances en gerencia de proyectos complejos; al abordar temáticas de cadenas de suministros, economía circular, optimización de recursos, iniciativas del sector público y privado, gestión de interesados, desarrollo de software, capacidad y madurez organizacional, administración de instituciones de educación superior, oficinas de proyectos, programas y portafolios; mediante la utilización de instrumentos, revisión literaria, análisis cienciométricos y estadísticos. En consecuencia, la formulación del presente manuscrito aporta a la reducción de brechas de conocimientos en torno a la complejidad y gerencia de proyectos, para establecer nociones de complejidad desde distintas perspectivas y experiencias en el campo de investigación científica.
